Google Consent Mode v2

Verify Google Consent Mode with Tag Assistant

Use Tag Assistant to check whether your Google tags receive the intended consent signals.

1. Start a test session

Open Tag Assistant and connect to your website. If the Google tag or container is blocked before consent, you may need to accept in the banner before the tool can connect.

2. Review the default state

Select the earliest Consent event. Check analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. Confirm that the default state matches your intended setup before the visitor's choice.

3. Review the update

Make a choice in the banner and inspect the latest Consent event. Check that the updated values match that choice, then review which tags fired or were blocked.

4. Repeat the choices

Test rejection, acceptance and custom selections in fresh sessions. If a signal is missing or a tag behaves unexpectedly, review Passiro's Google Consent Mode settings with your analytics specialist.
