Test Passiro on a staging site or subdomain
Test each hostname that visitors use before you rely on its consent setup.
1. List the addresses
Write down the live and test hostnames, for example your-website.example and staging.your-website.example. Treat www and non-www addresses separately when checking redirects and configuration.
2. Check the website configuration
Open the relevant website's Implementation settings and review Allowed Domains. Make sure the hostname you want to test is covered. If you are unsure whether a separate website or allocation is needed, check with Passiro before changing billing.
3. Install the Passiro script and test
Use the Passiro script belonging to the intended website configuration. Open the exact hostname in a fresh session and test the banner, settings button and tracker behavior.
4. Repeat on the live site
A successful staging test does not verify production. Test again after deployment. Do not assume a choice made on one domain or browser is automatically shared with another.
