Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot an incorrect banner language

Check the language selection separately from the translation text.

1. Review the default language

Open Translations. A fixed Default banner language shows that language, while Auto uses the visitor's browser language.

2. Check the edited language

Under Edit texts for language, select the language you want to change. Confirm that your overrides are in the right language and click Save overrides.

3. Test the browser preference

When using Auto, test with the intended language in the browser's language settings. A page written in English does not by itself prove that the browser requests English.

4. Check special text

Keep placeholders such as {n} and {partners} intact. Standard IAB purpose and feature text is not changed through ordinary overrides. If only part of the banner is wrong, include that exact text and the browser language in your report.
