Troubleshoot videos, maps or widgets that do not load
An embedded service may wait for consent, or it may have a separate loading problem.
1. Compare consent choices
Open the affected page in a fresh session. Test before consent, after rejection and after accepting the relevant optional category.
2. Identify the provider
Review the embed's provider and its cookies or trackers. Use your scan results and the provider's documentation to understand its purpose.
3. Check the implementation
Ask your developer whether the embed loads after a consent change or requires a page reload. Also check browser errors, blocked requests and the embed's own configuration.
4. Keep the visitor informed
If the embed depends on optional consent, show a clear explanation and an accessible way to reopen cookie settings. Do not reclassify the service as necessary simply to bypass the visitor's choice.
