Consent history and exports: what should you compare?
Consent history describes how long consent records remain available under a plan. An export period describes which part of that history can be downloaded. They are related, but one should not be used as a substitute for the other when you compare plans.

Start with the task you need to complete
You may need to look up a consent record, review consent trends or download records for a defined period. Those tasks use different parts of a consent management product. Check both the available functions and their time limits.
Passiro includes consent analytics, lookup by ID and consent log exports. Export formats are CSV, JSON and PDF. The available history and export period depend on the plan.
Read the two periods separately
Free retains up to 13 months of consent history and provides exports for the last 30 days. Pro retains up to 24 months and exports the last 12 months. Business retains up to 36 months and exports the last 36 months. Enterprise periods are agreed individually.
For example, a Pro user should not interpret 24 months of history as a promise that a 24-month log export is included. The plan’s export window is 12 months.
Unlimited volume is a third question
The plan overview includes unlimited visitors and consent record volume. This does not mean records are kept indefinitely. Volume, retention and export availability are separate dimensions and should remain separate in any buying decision.
A record is part of the evidence, not the entire setup
A consent record does not replace reviewing the banner, website configuration and relevant processing. The practical question is how the record fits the task you are trying to complete and the requirements that apply to your organisation. Do not choose a retention period merely because it is the longest number on a pricing page.
Consider how the data leaves the product
If a file export meets your needs, compare the formats and export window. If you need to connect consent records or cookie data to your own tools, Business and Enterprise include API access. Custom integrations are available on Enterprise by agreement.
Questions about consent records
Does Free include consent exports?
Yes. Free can export consent logs for the last 30 days in CSV, JSON or PDF.
Does API access remove all retention limits?
No. API access is a capability on Business and Enterprise. Retention and any agreed scope still apply.
Is longer retention always better?
The appropriate period depends on your actual needs and applicable requirements. A larger product allowance is not an instruction to keep data longer than necessary.
