Passiro vs. CookieYes

Let your website grow without a pageview bill. See how Passiro and CookieYes compare on traffic, banner branding and the features your team uses every day.

Three reasons to pick Passiro instead of CookieYes

  1. Keep traffic out of your subscription calculation

Every Passiro plan includes unlimited visitors. Run a campaign, publish more content or attract a bigger audience without a traffic surcharge. CookieYes applies pageview allowances below Ultimate, so the plan you need can depend on how often your pages are loaded.

  2. Put your own brand on the banner for less

Passiro Pro gives you your own logo, removes Passiro branding and costs $96 per year. CookieYes places both branding features on Ultimate, at $550 per year. For a single website that needs those features, the annual subscription difference is $454.

  3. Get scheduled scanning without a paid plan

Passiro Free automatically checks up to 500 pages every month. You can customise the banner and see consent analytics in the same account. That makes Free useful for an actively maintained business website, rather than just an initial installation.

What is included before you upgrade?

Both services can block cookies automatically and communicate consent choices to Google. The free-plan differences are in capacity, scheduling and design.

On the free plan Passiro Free CookieYes Free
Price ✓ $0 ✓ $0
Traffic ✓ Unlimited visitors 5,000 pageviews/month
Pages per scan ✓ 500 100
Scheduled scanning ✓ Monthly Not included
Automatic cookie blocking ✓ Included ✓ Included
Google Consent Mode v2 ✓ Included ✓ Included
Custom banner colours ✓ Included Paid plan
Geo-targeting ✓ Included Pro or Ultimate
Consent insights ✓ Included ✓ Included
Consent export window Latest 30 days ✓ Up to 1 year

Green in both columns means both provide the named capability. A longer allowance is highlighted only in the relevant column; it does not imply that the entire product is better. Visitors and pageviews are different measures. The CookieYes export window is longer on Free; Passiro’s free-plan strengths are traffic, scanning and design.

Branding, scanning and consent records as you grow

Paid-plan decision Passiro CookieYes
Own logo and no vendor branding ✓ Pro: $96/year Ultimate: $550/year
Weekly scheduled scanning ✓ Pro and Business ✓ Ultimate
Scan capacity Pro: 750; Business: 5,000 pages Basic: 600; Pro: 4,000; Ultimate: 8,000
Consent records: export Pro: 12 months; Business: 36 months ✓ Paid plans: up to 5 years
Geo-targeting ✓ Included on all plans ✓ Pro / Ultimate
Pageview overages ✓ None Basic / Pro: $0.30 per extra 1,000; none on Ultimate
Payment choice ✓ Monthly or annual ✓ Monthly or annual

For the same named capability, both cells are green even when the entry plan differs. The lower entry price is a separate Passiro advantage. CookieYes can scan more pages on Ultimate and offers a longer paid export window; choose the limits your business actually needs.

Four website setups, with the real requirements included

These examples require automatic blocking, Google Consent Mode v2, consent analytics and at least monthly scanning of every listed page. The three larger setups also need their own logo, no provider branding, geo-targeting and a 12-month export window. The small business needs only the latest 30 days of exports and accepts provider branding.

Company setup Passiro / year CookieYes / year Annual saving
Small service website Free: $0 Pro: $250 ✓ $250
Growing B2B / SaaS Pro: $96 Ultimate: $550 ✓ $454 (82.5%)
Online store Business: $288 Ultimate: $550 ✓ $262 (47.6%)
5 independently configured websites 5 × Pro: $480 5 × Ultimate: $2,750 ✓ $2,270 (82.5%)

USD, excluding taxes. Annual subscriptions: Passiro’s published USD prices include its 20% annual discount; CookieYes includes two free months, so annual plan fees equal ten monthly payments. No currency conversion is used. The matching monthly-payment totals are $0/$25, $10/$55, $30/$55 and $50/$275 respectively. No traffic overage is needed on the selected plans at the stated volumes.

  • A service business that wants a maintained setup

1 domain, no additional subdomains; 5,000 visitors and 15,000 pageviews each month; 35 pages to scan. Passiro Free covers the stated needs. CookieYes Pro is selected because scheduled monthly scanning is required; Basic’s smaller fee does not include that requirement.

  • A B2B team building its own brand

1 domain; 25,000 visitors and 75,000 pageviews per month; 500 pages; at least two banner languages. Passiro Pro combines the branding requirements with weekly scanning. This is the clearest saving for a team that wants a branded banner but does not need an enterprise-sized scanning allowance.

  • An online store with a busy catalogue

1 domain; 200,000 visitors and 800,000 pageviews per month; 4,000 product, category and content pages. Passiro Business scans the whole catalogue weekly and leaves room for another 1,000 pages. Both selected subscriptions avoid pageview overages at this traffic level.

  • One company with several brands and websites

3 domains and 2 subdomains; 200 pages, 10,000 visitors and 30,000 pageviews per website each month. This example requires five independently configured banners, each with its own branding and cookie setup, plus shared team access. Passiro counts all five sites separately.

CookieYes can cover subdomains within a parent-domain subscription when the same banner and shared consent setup are used. If your five sites can use three shared parent-domain configurations, three Ultimate subscriptions total $1,650/year instead. Passiro’s five Pro subscriptions remain $480, a $1,170 difference. Use the arrangement that matches your actual banner requirements.

A clearer daily workflow

  • Design: use Passiro’s live visual editor to align the banner with the page around it. Colours, wording and layout can be adjusted before publication; Pro adds your logo and removes the vendor name.

Passiro banner preview and styling controls
Preview a banner and adjust its appearance in Passiro.
  • Scanning: start with a monthly check on Free, then move to weekly checks when your site changes more frequently. Pro includes two on-demand scans a month; Business includes eight.

    Passiro Cookies Detected category controls
Review cookie categories in Cookies Detected before checking individual entries.
  • Consent analytics: review how people respond, inspect the consent history and download records within the export window. Passiro keeps history for 13 months on Free, 24 on Pro and 36 on Business. History and export access are separate limits.

Passiro consent analytics with the acceptance rate, consent levels over time and opt-in rates by category
Review consent statistics for the last 90 days in Passiro.

Why choose Passiro for this setup?

Passiro puts a useful free tier, affordable branding and traffic-independent pricing together. For all four defined scenarios, it covers the requirements at a lower annual cost. Your upgrade can follow the size of your website and the tools you need, rather than every increase in pageviews.

When might you keep CookieYes?

A current configuration may still suit a company that relies on shared subdomain banners or needs five years of downloadable consent records. Account for those needs before switching. For the branded, regularly scanned websites above, Passiro offers the more economical package.

Moving from CookieYes to Passiro

  1. List your installations. Check the parent domains, subdomains, plugins and tag-manager containers that currently load CookieYes. Decide which banners need independent settings.

  2. Keep the records you need. Export the relevant CookieYes logs and record your language, regional and consent-mode settings before changing the installation.

  3. Configure and test Passiro. Recreate your banner’s design, scan the website and verify blocking, accept/reject actions and consent updates in a test environment.

  4. Release the replacement. Remove the old installation as Passiro goes live, test desktop and mobile, then review cancellation and renewal dates. Previous visitor choices and historical logs are not imported into Passiro.

Common questions about the switch

Will pageviews change my Passiro price?

No. Passiro does not meter your bill by visitors or pageviews. You still need a plan with enough scanning capacity for the pages you want checked.

Why compare with CookieYes Ultimate for a 500-page site?

The example requires a custom logo and removal of provider branding. Those requirements determine the CookieYes plan even though the website is smaller than Ultimate’s scanning allowance.

Does Passiro have the longest consent export period?

No. CookieYes publishes a longer export period on paid plans. Passiro Pro’s 12-month export window meets the stated requirement here; Business extends it to 36 months. A team needing a longer period should include that in its decision.

Do both providers charge separately for subdomains?

Passiro does. CookieYes supports a shared banner on subdomains under a parent-domain subscription, subject to the relevant setup and plan. Independently configured sites should be counted separately in a quote.

Can I run an A/B test in Passiro?

A/B testing is coming soon on Business and Enterprise. It is not included as a current benefit in this comparison.
