Replace the installation
Replace Cookiebot through your script, plugin or tag-manager setup in a controlled release. Remove the old CMP installation so the two banners do not run together.

Check the result
Test accept, reject, preference changes and withdrawal. Verify that blocking and Google consent signals behave as intended. Confirm your old subscription’s cancellation terms after the new setup has been checked.
Existing Cookiebot consents cannot be imported into Passiro. Returning visitors will be asked to choose again after the switch.

How much can I save with Passiro?
In these examples, annual Passiro billing saves €84, €274, €322 or €470 against Cookiebot’s annual price. Savings depend on your requirements. For one eligible website with fewer than 50 pages, Cookiebot Lite at €7/month can still cost slightly less than Passiro Pro at €86/year. Passiro Free remains €0 if it covers your needs.
Does more traffic increase the price?
No, for either provider. Passiro includes unlimited visitors on every plan. Cookiebot Core also has no traffic-based fees. Website size, scanning capacity and required features are the relevant differences here.
Do annual prices include the discount?
Yes. Passiro’s annual totals use the published €86 Pro and €278 Business prices per domain or subdomain, including its advertised 20% annual saving. Cookiebot’s public annual price is 12 times its monthly price, with no standard annual discount.
Do subdomains need their own subscription?
Yes, with both providers. Count each domain and subdomain that uses the CMP separately. Cookiebot treats example.com and www.example.com as one website when configured correctly; adding both as separate domains can result in two charges.
What does Passiro Free include, and when would I upgrade?
Free includes the visual banner editor, automatic script blocking, monthly scans of up to 500 pages, geo-targeting, consent analytics and Google Consent Mode v2. It has no expiry and needs no credit card. Choose Pro for your own logo, removal of Passiro branding, weekly scans and IAB TCF v2.4. Business adds greater scanning capacity, API access and longer consent history.
Will I lose my old consent records?
Passiro does not import your Cookiebot consent history or visitors’ previous choices. Export and retain the records you need before cancelling Cookiebot. New consent records are collected in Passiro after installation, and returning visitors will be asked again.
Can I keep the look of my current banner?
You can recreate its colours, text and layout in Passiro’s visual editor. Your own logo and removal of Passiro branding require Pro or above. Review the finished banner on desktop and mobile.
Will Google Consent Mode v2 and my CMS still work?
Passiro supports Google Consent Mode v2 and integrations for WordPress, Shopify, Wix and Google Tag Manager. Review your current implementation and test the new setup, including consent defaults, updates and script blocking.
